LIVE Bitcoin State Reorg: Monday Updates
Time has come, in form of chaos, for the Bitcoin developers to explain
Preface: Make sure you understand HTLC’s (Hashed Time Lock Contracts) before reading. This would be a possible reason for 1999–2001 type “lock times” on F2Pool mined block rewards that started appearing this weekend and of which I wrote about on Friday and Saturday.
One block a user has submitted. The block has a received time in the year 1972 and was officially added to the blockchain.info ledger in 2013. Once again the block was mined by F2Pool:
Here is the block reward tx, noting Made in China:
Here is where the script pushed this 1972 BTC forward to at F2Pool’s official public address (still receiving loads of BTC today on 6/25/18):
Another tx, within the same block (237186) was received in 2063:
Things seem to be circling back through past blocks:
Update 2: Discus (fish), the chosen name of F2Pool.
Some interesting characteristics of these block withholding fish:
“Discus are fish from the genus Symphysodon, which currently includes the species S. aequifasciatus, S. discus and S. tarzoo, based on a taxonomic review published in 2006.[7][9] A review published in 2007 largely came to the same result, but differed in nomenclature, as the species called S. tarzoo in the 2006 study was called S. aequifasciatus in the 2007 study, and S. aequifasciatus in 2006 was S. haraldi in 2007.[10][11] Further arguments have been made that S. tarzoo was not described in accordance with ICZN rules and thus should be considered invalid and replaced with S. haraldi,[12] currently considered a synonym of S. aequifasciatus by FishBase.”
So in other words one classification of discus fish as “insert taxonomical name” was declared invalid and replaced with another name… (tinfoil conspiracy)
“A molecular study in 2011 found five main groups, which generally matched previously recognized phenotypes. They recognized them as evolutionarily significant units and species.[13]
If you’ve been reading along you know I think 5 different versions of BTC exist in I0/IX/ETH/ETC/BCH and they all can be matched with the current BTC someway and somehow. Or perhaps the 2011 beginning of merge mining indicates such coins -> I0,IX,DVC,NMC,GRP all have evolutionary traces of BTC.
Update 3: More of a reminder, but Bitcoin is a store of value from the energy it costs to mine it, which goes “unspent” … this phase had to take place to build its value and then re-distribute it over a network I0/IX that is 99.99% minted as of 2018 for a network that is secure and able to survive when it becomes decentralized. Don’t people ever read white papers?
